I wish for you
Sunshine on snow.
A pass where there is
no passageway.
A means to proceed.
And I pray,
For frozen rivers that thaw,
that burst their banks
with showers of mercy,
and blessing.
Sometimes I wonder
if He is more purposeful
than we quite
understand.
That he makes our way hard,
or dark, or confusing,
that He might come through
with a plan.
Like sunshine on snow,
or passes that clear;
and rivers of blessing
to break barriers.
So God’s mercy
when it bursts its banks
carries us
in its forward momentum.

Thank you Carol. Its always good to know I’ve communicated the images. That is often how I start a poem, with images in my head:)
