To sing the body awake,
to sing in the small confines.
The body is an instrument
the vessel in which we move,
and as lit flames,
We break out,
not from doors,
but from the idea that ‘out beyond’
when at our core
the plasma burns,
each cell a burst of light.
So sing the body awake,
move in unison,
or dance alone
through the house of your being,
your immediate surrounds.
The world will give way to you
as something recognising itself,
bowing all the way.

Thank you so much for reading and enjoying!
To sing the body awake figuratively is such an affirmation in a time when folks are telling us not to sing literally!
The rhythm of the body sings to the silence that surrounds it
Your poems share the gift of quietness
Such beautiful words my friend, I cherish them.
