You know you can lose things
in the blue.
Things that have outstayed their welcome,
like worry and angst.
You can hang yourself upside down,
watch your pockets empty;
or take a jump right up
and scatter things about like leaves.
And some things on losing,
are not worth the finding and retrieving.
Some things, like winter lows
need a blue sky arriving to send them sideways.
And when the sun shines,
like the golden haired heroine she is –
well, there is much that we keep
meant for burning.

The challenge is to silence the mind.’

while there is much that we keep
meant for burning.
