A Poem: Movements

Today I move
from here to there.
Not far.

Just to where the light leads,
where it falls.

The radius of your love is wide
that I cannot spin out of it.

But some days are for slowing,
stilling,

to stay in the spots
where we’ve stopped.

Though my heart is out there
I rein it in,

woo it
that my body may lie in the sun,

my heart and mind accompanying,
restrained by your love.

And that you
would have all my attentions,

I sink into the central sphere
where your sights are focused.

Where I am fully present.
