“Love can take broken things and make them beautiful”
Ellie Holcomb

“Love keeps the cold out better than a cloak.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“That is my prayer to God every day:  ‘Remove the veils so I might see what is really happening here, and not be intoxicated by my stories and my fears.”
Elizabeth Lesser

“Authentic spirituality is always about changing you.  It’s not about trying to change anyone else.”
Richard Rohr

“Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
1 Cor 13:7

MY PRAYER today is that we might love.  Not when its easy to love.  Love that is easy is the dressing, and the icing on the cake.  It’s the warm fuzzies of affection that keeps us interested, and coming back.  Love that is transformational, is the substance.  It’s the coming back when that is the hardest thing to do.  It’s the not giving up.  Its laying down, not bringing down the gavel, and putting on the shoes of the gospel of peace.  Love that is transformational remoulds, redeems, restores, renews, respects and replaces people, back into a place of dignity and honour.  Love recognises that we are all need of forgiveness and restoration.  Love remakes us, for we all break and crack and wear and tear.  None of us is beyond the great need of his mercy, and our brother’s and sister’s compassion.
