Who are you
who is both bridge and door?
Thoroughfare and threshold,
path and gate.
Who are you
that I enter in,
and who with me,
walks.
Has called my name,
before I knew it as my own.
Who are you,
inside me,
who makes me room,
and bids me welcome.
Door and bridge,
thoroughfare and threshold
path and gate,
held open wide.
Who are you,
beckoning me.
To what wonders,
are you the entry.
And the longing that
turns me in circles
that brings me
whirling vortex to a stop.
Who are you?
But the divine answer
to my human state,
God with us.
