A Poem: Threads

This wisdom from above
is that everything is enclosed
in one round circle.

Does it matter where
we start or end,
finish up.

No, I think it matters
more that we begin.

The thread we pick up,
just another in a web
that was fully formed before us.

What do we add?

Perhaps God in his grace
loans us a part to play for our growth.

Magnanimously giving us the gift of
ownership,
however badly we trip up.

But really there are no rules,
just this great wide web
lit here,

shining in the sun.
