A Poem: Inside Out

We are broken
But we are entirely intact

We are shattered
but still in one piece

We are grieving
but still wholly complete

We are lost
but found

We leave the throng
and arrive in Him

We run
but never for long

We look left, or right
within and without

He is always there,
waiting for us to recognise

We are broken
but held together by love

Shattered
but pieced together with tender intent

Grieving
but held from breaking apart

Lost in ourselves
but never to Him

Who finds the cracks
and enters them

to restore us from inside out.
